1 in 8 children, and 1 in 15 seniors face hunger. The Newington food pantry helps close this gap in food insecurity. We are collecting nonperishable food items, along with hygiene and household products. There is a list of suggested donations below and in the Narthex.
Time for your closet clean up? Our clothing shed is open 24/7 for donations! Please visit Our Savior’s Lutheran Church – 1655 Main St Newington to donate your gently used clothing, shoes, sneakers, belts, purses, blankets, towels, sheets, curtains, pillowcases, and stuffed animals.
Together in 2023 we made the following impact through our shed:
-
23,338 pounds of clothing were donated to our shed.
-
This was enough to clothe an estimated 4,308 people all over the world.
